A Road roller (sometimes called a roller-compactor, or just roller) is an engineering vehicle used to compact soil, gravel, concrete, or asphalt in the construction of roads and foundations.
This new drive unit is specifically designed for driving road roller wheels. It is specially shaped and sized for installation on roller-compactors which generally feature rear axles with four drive wheels and steering front axles with idle wheels.
Drive is delivered through a hydrostatic transmission system with two variable displacement axial piston motors installed horizontally along the machine's lengthwise axis.
KTR series hydrostatic Tandem Road Rollers are designed and manufactured with advanced modern technology incorporating mechanical and hydraulic mechanism. KTR Tandem Road Rollers comply with all specifications as per international standard. Every part of the roller is precision machined on highly sophisticated modern machines to obtain maximum accuracy and it passes through certain quality control steps in order to ensure best quality. It excellently works with minimum operating and maintenance cost. It helps achieving superior and perfect road compaction, maximizing profit of the owner.
CASE’s range of SV series rollers are designed with safety in mind and claim to offer stability, operator comfort and easy maintenance.
With six models in the range, operating weights vary from 7.6t to 25.5t and drum widths from 1.7m to 2.24m. Engine power ranges from 100 hp in the SV208/SV210 to 148 hp in the SV212/SV216 and extends to 200 hp in the SV223/S228.
