Caterpillar has introduced two new tracked machines for forestry applications, the 325C FM and 330C FM. The new machines are designed to be versatile, efficient and durable in delimbing, log loading and road building applications.
The John Deere and Hitachi joint venture in Canada has been a huge success and manufactures machines that are truly multipurpose: excavator frames are modified into forest machines. In recent years the DHSP Swing Machines also gained a solid foothold in Russia.
Caterpillar has introduced new zero-tail swing (ZTS) and full-tail swing (FTS) machines. The new 511, 521, 522 and 532 track feller bunchers and track harvesters feature zero tail swing, while the 541, 551 and 552 feature full tail swing.

Cleveland Brothers added Peterson Pacific products to the company’s product line. Peterson Pacific manufactures chippers, grinders and mulching vehicles designed for the forestry industry. Cleveland Brothers will become a full service distributorship for Peterson Pacific Corp., and will handle sales, service, parts and customer support throughout all of Pennsylvania and a select area of West Virginia.
