Mini crawler cranes

Gleason Cranes Australia has announced the release of the new AirLIFT series of mini crawler cranes, designed for use in zones that contain hazardous and explosive atmospheres which prohibit the use of petrol or gas engines.

The AirLIFT models offer minimum disruption to the user due to their light weight, small footprint, low point loadings and ease of installation, Gleason Cranes said, while all models are designed to be disassembled into component form for easy helicopter transportation to remote locations where smaller cranes are often needed.

AirLIFT mini crawlers also feature full safe load indicators, work area limitation and radio remote control with digital feedback.

The AirLIFT 660 measures 1,600 mm wide with a hook height of 19.5 metres, a maximum lift of 6 tonnes and a working radius of 18.6 metres, while the 629 model is 1,300 mm wide and offers a maximum lift of 3 tonnes, six section hydraulic boom, a working radius of 14.45 metres and a lifting height of 14.9 metres.

Both cranes are controllable from either the onboard operator’s seat or from a distance via remote control.

The AirLift 529 model measures 600 mm wide with a maximum lift of 3 tonnes, a working radius of 14.45 metres and a lifting height of 8.8 metres.
