JCB has released a new Rockwheel hydraulic cutter to join its attachments range, providing earthmoving and demolition contractors with a versatile earthmoving tool.

According to JCB, the new excavator attachment is suitable for earthmoving tasks like trenching, scabbling, quarrying, tunnelling, scaling and demolition.

JCB says the Rockwheel is an alternative tool for typical excavator applications. It can be used in conjunction with buckets and hydraulic breakers to give even greater on-site functionality.

The Rockwheel attachment is said to be in full production, following positive feedback when previewed at SED. The unit is available in three different size variants the RW40, RW50 and RW100.

Rockwheel is compatible with JCB’s midi and tracked excavator models from 6 to 26t, in addition to JCB’s 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders.

JCB says the Rockwheel provides superior performance when compared to traditional methods. Its design enables accurate profiling in deep trenches, gives greater control when excavating around existing services and can minimise noise in urban environments.
