According to Cross Manufacturing, the Phoenix Type P is a pneumatically actuated filter designed with simplicity to suit arduous industrial duties in hazardous, hot and wet environments.

The company says the Phoenix Type P combines the benefits of its “zero gravity” filtration technology with the simplicity of pneumatic operation. The new unit is supplied as standard with a PLC-based programmable control system mounted within a watertight metal enclosure.

The Phoenix Type P is manufactured with all-stainless steel wetted parts and has a maximum flow rating of up to 18L/s at pressures up to 10 bar.

Automatic backwashing is programmed with an adjustable pressure differential switch and achieved with the minimum consumption of backwash water. Backwashing is performed without interruption to filtration activity, eliminating any requirement for redundant bypass filter equipment.
