JCB is launching the new 3CX Contractor Pro which is said to be tailor-made for UK owner-operators to give the ultimate in backhoe loader performance.
According to the company, the 3CX Contractor Pro was revealed this month at SED 2009, and is available with JCB’s EasyControl or Advanced EasyControl servo systems.
The new Contractor Pro is said to include liquid-fill puncture protection on tyres, front impact bumpers, and a telescopic steering column, previously only available on Advanced EasyControl machines.
JCB says the new model ensures fatigue-free, all-day working through the features of a high-output air-conditioning, a heated suspension seat, new radio system and a telescopic steering column. Also included is JCB TorqueLock, limited slip differential and JCB Powerslide to increase efficiency and speed.
According to JCB, the 3CX Contractor Pro is in compliance with EN74 (Earthmoving Machinery – Safety) legislation, and will be fitted with a protected rear screen, and excavator control joysticks integrated into the seat.
The model is also said to contain a lifting option package comprising hose burst check valve on the boom ram, an audible warning device in the cab, lift charts, a five-tonne rated bucket link and hook.
The company says the new Compact Pro is powered by a Tier 3-compliant, 100hp Turbo JCB Dieselmax engine, with a maximum travel speed of 40k/ph, a backhoe dig depth of 5.46 metres and a maximum shovel capacity of 1.2m³.
