Atlas Copco adds the new SB 452 to its range of light hydraulic breakers

Atlas Copco says the weight-impact of the new model is unmatched even by breakers in the 50-500kg class.According to the company, the SB breaker range is known for its durability and reliability.

Thord Wikström, Atlas Copco Product Line Manager says the series is suitable for road work, trenching, demolition and landscaping.

‘The single blow impact energy of the SB 452 has increased by more than 12% and the impact rate by more than 50% compared to the previous model, which results in higher performance and breaking power. And the new body design generates lower vibrations and less noise,’ Wikström says.

‘A solid body breaker is machined from a single block of steel. No tie bolts are needed and the solid body provides a unique resistance to bending forces and operator abuse. Another advantage is fewer parts and less maintenance.’

Atlas Copco says the slim design of the SB 452 makes positioning easy and facilitates working in confined applications. The new floating bushing makes service and maintenance easier.
The SB 452 offers the highest performance and breaking power in its class thanks to a new hydraulic system that delivers higher efficiency and improved energy recovery.
