KOMATSU has released a new Parallel Link Undercarriage System (PLUS) on its D51EX/PX-22, D61EX/PX-15 and D65EX/PX/WX-15 crawler dozers.

KOMATSU has released a new Parallel Link Undercarriage System (PLUS) on its D51EX/PX-22, D61EX/PX-15 and D65EX/PX/WX-15 crawler dozers.

The Parallel Link Undercarriage System can be interchanged with a conventional undercarriage with Komatsu's track frame design, making retrofitting an existing machine easy.

Komatsu says the new undercarriage will increase wear life, lower maintenance costs and reduce machine downtime.

Komatsu claims with PLUS the undercarriage wear is more balanced across all components and designed to wear evenly. It provides close to 100% usage of undercarriage components, lowering maintenance costs by up to 40%.

The PLUS undercarriage is said to require no maintenance between track changes other than track tension adjustments.

According to Komatsu, the Parallel Link Undercarriage System is suitable for all applications including high impact applications and reduces noise.
