Taiwan –  Home Safe Co. Ltd has introduced a safe that uses hydraulics and passwords.

The product is composed of exterior and interior cabinets and a password box. Valuables are placed in the 4cm-thick, high-grade steel interior section, which is fire-resistant to 1,050 C for two hours. Users have to enter the correct password and insert a unique key to open this compartment. A hydraulic mechanism then lifts it out of the exterior cabinet.

The external section is made of 20mm-thick armored heavy steel, which is explosion-resistant. This cabinet does not have a key and opens only when the hydraulic mechanism starts to raise the interior section.

The model is patented in 10 countries.
