LR-Fairplay's Daily Newbuilding News reports that Consolidated Projects Ltd (CPL) of Sleeuwijk in the Netherlands has ordered two offshore oil pipelaying vessels at the newly established Sohu Ship Heavy Industry Co in Jiangsu.
The yard's owner CSSC said that the vessels will cost around US$80 million each.
The pipelayers will be 150m long, with 36.8m beam and draft of about 6m.
According to CSSC, the vessels will be equipped with a helicopter platform and DP 3 dynamic positioning system.
Their lifting capacity will be 1,600 tonnes and there will accommodation for 400 onboad.
