Twelve months ago TRANSWORLD RECYCLING MACHINERY LTD (T.R.M.) completed a second installation of a more powerful 250kW Heavy Duty Single Shaft, Hydraulic driven Shredder.  The shredder was commissioned to reduce armoured copper cable to a nominal 20mm in a single pass at a rate of 4 tonnes per hour. 

Due to the continuous and reliable operation of the shredder the customer has allowed TRM to demonstrate the unit to other customers not operating within the same field.   From these demonstrations TRM has received further orders, one of these orders has resulted in a 110kW shredder being installed into a security shredding company to reduce 2 tonnes per hour of files and documents down to a specified size of below 15mm.  The end product is then exported to China where it is recycled and made in toilet tissue paper.

Another 500kW Single Shaft Shredder was commissioned to be part of a full system including separation table, conveyors, overband magnet, baler and compactor.  This recycling system is a first in the UK and soon TRM will know whether they are to be commissioned to build three more systems for the same customer.
